Rural Capers Group are thrilled to be working with our UK partners, Alpaca Adventure UK, to bring the exciting Alpaca Project to life. We’ve recently welcomed four charming young alpaca boys, each 18 months old, who will be the very first members of our growing herd. These friendly newcomers will help us kickstart our alpaca walking business, offering people the chance to enjoy peaceful countryside strolls in the company of these gentle and curious animals.

The Ellingham Show 2025
A wonderful day out with our Alpacas awaited us at the Ellingham Show in Dorset, UK, when I took our four new boys to compete against top Alpaca breeders and exhibitors. We gained a red rosette for George and a championship sash, a red rosette for Cappuccino and best multi sash and second placings for Marmite and Luna. The plan was just to take them out and get them used to people and new surroundings but the day proved an even better success and all the boys behaved impeccably and were praised by the the judge, especially for their fibre.

Join Alpaca Adventure UK our Alpaca partners in the UK who are there this weekend and you are invited to come along. Celebrating Dorset Agriculture, Countryside and rural life. Acting as Dorset’s end of harvest celebration. Annually, on the first weekend of September, Dorset comes together to showcase the very best that the County has to offer.
